Support for Women

Women's Care Center

All Among Us Women’s Center is a long-term transformational housing facility that is home for women recovering from homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence and instability, and other traumatic life events.

Our innovative approach is different from standard transitional housing. We provide a welcoming and safe home environment for women from all walks of life. Through our Seven Pillars, we help transform women as they make the needed changes in their lives; away from the people, places, barriers, and stressors that keep them in poverty

What is

Transformational Housing

What we do at AAU, is quite different from traditional homeless shelters or rehab facilities. While those organizations provide a needed short-term service; at All Among Us we understand that the path through recovery is very rarely a straight line. Therefore, our program is focused on long term solutions for the women in our organization as they navigate their way through life’s challenges.

Why is it

Important?

Women in our program, many of whom have been abused, are often in need of sanctuary. AAU is unique in that it has a long-term relationship with each resident to encourage their recovery.

Everyone who completes our program will feel confident in their ability to succeed in the real world because of the love, care, and dignity we provide. This goes beyond healing the physical injuries, and the emotional triggers. Our program helps empower women to create structural changes in their lives, and help them carry these lessons back to their communities. We believe that we can build a stronger society, together.

All Among Us

Difference

At All Among Us, we understand that there are many factors that help to perpetuate cycles of poverty and abuse. While we know that we cannot end homelessness, drug addiction, or abuse; our goal is to help each individual in their battle. We believe that we can fundamentally change communities, one woman at a time. Together, as a community, we can help tackle these issues by empowering women towards self-sufficiency. While each case is different, so is the time it takes to heal. Our programs offer women support based on their needs, from several months to many years.

To assure long-term success, our transformative shelter program focuses on seven pillars:

  • Financial literacy
  • Workforce Readiness
  • Life Skills
  • Recovery
  • Mental and Physical Health
  • Family and Friendships
  • Aftercare
